Neal Gerber Eisenberg Elevates Kate Campbell to Partner, Enhancing Intellectual Property and Data Privacy Practice

Neal Gerber Eisenberg (NGE) is pleased to announce that Kate Campbell has been elected to the firm's partnership in the Intellectual Property group, effective January 1, 2025.

Kate counsels clients on cybersecurity, data privacy, technology strategy, licensing and procurement, artificial intelligence, and technology transactions. She provides critical due diligence for M&A transactions and advises on cybersecurity and data privacy litigation. Her guidance spans compliance with city, state, federal, and international privacy laws, including the GDPR, CCPA, and various state privacy laws.

Kate's practice extends to all facets of artificial intelligence governance. She assists clients in monitoring emerging AI laws, developing data privacy programs, and implementing robust information security measures. Her work includes crafting incident response plans and establishing IT and security standards and policies. Kate is instrumental in helping clients stay abreast of advancements in AI and data privacy. She holds certifications from the International Association of Privacy Professionals (IAPP), which include Certified Information Privacy Professional/US (CIPP/US), Certified Information Privacy Professional/Europe (CIPP/E), Certified Information Privacy Manager (CIPM), and AI Governance Professional.

Beyond her professional achievements, Kate is a passionate advocate for women and girls in technology. She serves as a Board Member for the Wisconsin Southeast Region of Women in Technology (WIT) and co-chairs WIT4girls, a program designed to inspire young women to pursue careers in technology.

Prior to joining the firm, Kate practiced in the litigation and cybersecurity departments of firms in Wisconsin, Washington D.C., Chicago, and Los Angeles. She received her J.D. from the University of Southern California Gould School of Law and her B.A. from Pomona College. She also completed the certificate program titled Data: Law, Policy, and Regulation at the London School of Economics and Political Science.
