The Ministry of Science and ICT (MSIT, Minister Yoo Sang-Im) and the National IT Industry Promotion Agency (NIPA, President Hur Sung-wook) proudly announced their participation in Soft Wave 2024, Korea’s largest software (SW) business fair, held at COEX in Samseong-dong, Seoul, from December 4 to 6. At the event, the organizations successfully hosted the 2024 ICT WOW Offline Export Consultation Meeting.

* ICT WOW (WORLD ONLINE ICT SHOW): A regular business-matching platform that bridges ICT companies with international buyers. It provides a range of services, including seller-buyer matchmaking, online exhibition halls, and export consultation support.

Soft Wave 2024, marking its ninth year, was held under the theme "AI Transformation (AX Wave)." It featured an unprecedented scale, with 300 domestic and international companies presenting across 550 exhibition booths. Numerous participants, including leading firms such as TmaxSoft and ITcen, explored both the current and future landscapes of software technologies.

At the 2024 ICT WOW Offline Overseas Export Consultation, 12 companies specializing in diverse ICT fields, such as digital twins, collaborated in joint exhibition booths and engaged in export consultations with global buyers. These efforts resulted in 68 export consultations worth about KRW 5.5 billion (USD 3.86 million). Companies such as Weclover, A.Virtual, Mirinae Technologies, and The Spacial Party XR signed contracts totaling USD 250,000 (about KRW 350 million), showcasing tangible export achievements.

Hur Sung-wook, President of NIPA, said, “In this era of global digital transformation, the interest and demand for Korean ICT companies to expand into international markets has never been higher. NIPA will remain committed to supporting these companies as they consistently navigate global market entry and diversify export opportunities amid evolving global dynamics.”
